  Honduras
Description
Believed to have been settled by the Mayas in 2000 BC, Honduras is considered to be the heart of the Maya civilization. Be- cause of recent hurricanes, ADRA is helping to reconstruct the country with housing, food distribution, clothes, and medi- cines. Maranatha Volunteers have assisted in the building program, allowing members to focus on annual cycles of youth and women's evangelistic programs. Schools and mobile health clinics are launching points for preaching the gospel for the con- gregations, 50 percent of whom are under 30 years of age. Since human resources are the most significant assets, members are dedicated to a 100 percent involvement for unprecedented internal and external growth during the next five years.
