  Germany
Description
Germany is Europe's second most populous nation. Perhaps its greatest contribution to world mission is the legacy of Johannes Gutenberg whose experimentation with movable type, oil-based ink, and inexpensive rag paper laid the foundations for today's information revolution. However, the country of the reformation has now become secular in orientation. Outreach is accomplished through retreats for youth, singles, and single parents as well as assistance to smokers who attend stop-smoking clinics. The Seventh-day Adventist German family operates three elementary schools, the 100-year-old Friedensau University; a seminary, hospital, major health food factory, media production center, ADRA and community service centers.
