  Costa Rica
Description
Lying on the isthmus between Nicaragua and Panama, Costa Rica has long coastlines on both the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean. From the top of one of the mountain ranges, both bodies of water can be seen. The population profile is unique for Central America because most people are of European descent with only a minority of mestizos. A major short-wave facility here has beamed the Seventh-day Adventist message to Cuba for more than a decade. Central American Adventist University in Alajuela and academies in Limon and San Jose prepare youth for witnessing posts in health care, education and preaching ministries.
